you that I had a car accident yesterday with my 11" Celestron CGE
GoTo scope packed in my minivan. It was in one of your cases.
I ran a red light and was broad-sided. My van was quite damaged and
the contents took a serious beating. I had three optics cases that
were destroyed (though the optics were okay) and I was heartsick over my
poor husband's big scope. We got it home and opened the case and
found that not only was the scope perfectly fine, it seems to still be in
reasonable alignment. It probably needs a collimation but it is in
all other respects a happy, healthy telescope! The case is 100%

rearranging, cutting and gluing some of the foam, the case [for the Meade
LXD75 SN-8/SN-10 OTA] fits my TEC f/12 Mak-Cas and finder scope very
well. See the attached Picture.
The finder scope compartment foam is cut in a wedge shape so that the
finder scope is held securely in place and will not fall out when the lid
is closed. It is also covered by a removable foam section that also
supports the upper half of the back of the tube (the foam section is shown
resting on the side of the case in the picture). ... I knew I
would have to make some modifications to it when I ordered the case but it
all worked out very well. Even the extra space on the case, meant
for the side focuser of the Schmidt-Newtonian, is a plus as it provides
room for me to put my arm and place my hand under the tube to lift the
scope out of the case. I am very happy with the case as it provides
excellent protection for my scope in a compact and easily transportable

bought a JMI case for my N11 GPS about a year ago and I love it!
...very well collimated. I haul my N11 everywhere, at first in the
front seat of my VW Passat and now in my Tahoe. There's no doubt
